Operations Master Data Domain Lead (w/m/d)

A job that matters: your tasks

• Main task: Develop and implement a plan to take the data quality of the Operations master data domain to the level required by key downstream consuming end-to-end processes and IT systems (Manufacturing Execution Systems, Integrated Business Planning, Sales & Operational Planning, Warehouse Management, Global ERPs, etc.). Main Operations master data objects are: Bills of materials, routings, warehouse locations, transportation routes, PIR (purchase info record), etc.
• Identify the key use cases for the Operations master data domain. Focus on clear and measurable business outcomes.
• Lead the identification of the Operations master data domain's critical data objects, attributes and business rules. Lead the definition of the Operations master data domain's codification, classification, hierarchies, status management. Focus on clear prioritization.
• Determine the need for data cleansing and migration, as required. Focus on support S8 (Global ERP) and S/4Hana deployments, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Integrated Business Planning, Sales & Operational Planning, Warehouse Management and other projects related to the Operations data domain.
• Design and implement the data management processes for the Operations data domain. Focus on deep automation and continuous improvement. Embed relevant business rules into the data systems as preventative and detective controls. Focus on first time right.
• In coordination with Group IT define and implement a fit for purpose data & system architecture in the Operations master data domain. Focus on maximizing integration across systems and use of existing tools. Exercise the business ownership for the specific Master Data Management IT modules and functionalities within broader Operations Applications.
• Define and implement a fit for purpose operating model for the Operations master data domain. Oversee any activities delegated to external vendors and/or near-/offshoring.
• Define and implement a change management roadmap for the Operations data domain. Focus on company-wide communications, common terminology and training for the Operations master data domain.

An experience that matters: your skills

• University degree with emphasis on Data Management, IT, Supply Chain, Finance/Accounting, or Engineering.
• 5 years of experience in multinational corporations in similar roles managing Operations master data.
• Business proficiency in English.
• Experience in enforcement of standards and driving data quality improvements across the organization in close alignment with the underlying Business Process requirements.
• Exposure to a complex business environment with multiple stakeholders.
• Track record in development and delivery of realistic concepts and solutions towards data driven improvements.
• Proactive stakeholder management: ability to align with the business and be recognized as a value adding partner. Good in coordination and communication between business and IT.
• Strong communications capability to influence and manage regional/segment/cluster teams amd impact system changes for consuming applications including ability to communicate with senior management levels.
• Ability to effectively manage external vendors and near- & offshoring (captive Shared Services).
• Deep exposure to SAP Materials, ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems, Supply Chain planning and logistics modules. Experience in Global Trade Item Number and S/4Hana a plus.
